At Scarlet, we believe healthcare can be solved by the next generation of medical technology. Our mission is to pull those devices from the future into today, and we’re now announcing a major step on that journey.

Scarlet has raised $50m in Series B funding, led by Headline, to build a truly global AI certification body for the world’s most ambitious technology companies.

In the past year, we’ve seen demand for AI medical device certification skyrocket. Our customers are developing phenomenally impactful technology that patients need. With Scarlet, they have cut a year or more from their certification timelines for new AI-enabled devices, and shortened product-update cycles from months to weeks.

We’re driven to help our customers bring their cutting-edge devices to the people who need them. And this is just the beginning.

As AI reaches into more and more areas of healthcare, this round will enable us to certify it in all its forms, grow our team of experts, and increase our footprint in the US and APAC. All of this will allow an even broader collection of innovators to bring more life to the world through their groundbreaking devices.

We’re profoundly optimistic about the possibilities ahead for medicine. We also believe that, to be adopted, AI medical technology must be safe and deliver real benefits for both clinicians and patients.

As we begin this next chapter, we’re excited to further our mission to pull medical technology from the future into today.

Scarlet’s $50m Series B is led by Headline, with participation from existing investors Kindred Capital, Creandum, Atomico, and Entrepreneurs First (EF), and new investor Notion Capital.

Thank you to all our investors for backing our mission to pull medical technology from the future to solve human health.
